SUMMER WHEEL THROWING CAMP FOR KIDS
Wheel Throwing Ceramic Camp
with Melissa Branin Wheeler beginning classes for 12-15 yr. olds
for one week, July 20th - July 24th
12-15 yr. olds starts at 9AM until 12PM
Get your hands muddy and your creativity spinning in this fun week of clay for ages 12–15! During this Monday–Friday camp from 9-12, students will be introduced to the exciting art of wheel throwing on the pottery wheel while also learning the basics of clay, shaping, glazing, and surface decoration. Participants will explore how clay works, practice forming pieces on the wheel, and add their own creative touches with glaze and design. By the end of the week, each student will have finished a few ceramic pieces and a strong foundation in the pottery process. This camp is a perfect way to jump-start pottery skills and build confidence for a longer, more in-depth clay class. Whether you’re brand new to clay or just excited to try the wheel, this camp is a great place to start!
Price includes the use of basic tools, clay and firing. Students will complete several projects to be able to take home by the end of the session.
Classes are limited to 5 students with plenty of personal attention.
